Exploring the suitability of land development
Before construction begins, it’s critical to understand the ground you’re building on. Thurber’s environmental team assesses site conditions, identifies contamination, and develops practical remediation strategies where needed. Our hydrogeologists evaluate and monitor groundwater conditions to help prevent contamination.
Our geotechnical engineers assess whether the site is suitable for construction by analyzing soil and ground conditions, including stability, settlement potential, and risks such as landslides and soil liquefaction. During construction, we provide quality assurance, monitoring, and compliance verification to help ensure the work is carried out as designed.
We bring extensive experience supporting land development projects, from large-scale urban expansion to complex infill on marginal sites. Our goal is to help clients manage risk and deliver safe, resilient structures built to last.
