Job Description

Our Oakville office is seeking a Hydrogeologist for a full time, salaried opportunity. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct investigation programs including drilling, test pitting, and installation of monitoring wells;
  • Map and interpret surface geology features;
  • Design and implement groundwater sampling programs;
  • Hydrogeologic assessment for Transportation and Infrastructure projects;
  • Aquifer testing (slug tests and pump tests);
  • Manage project tasks and budgets;
  • Supervise the work of technologists and Junior Engineers; and,
  • Business development to expand groundwater and environmental consulting practice.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Hydrogeology or suitable experience;
  • Eligible for registration with APGO or PEO;
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a consulting environment; and,
  • Valid class G Ontario Driver's Licence.

Desirable Skills

  • Hydrogeologic analysis and interpretation;
  • Evaluation of soil and groundwater chemistry (organic and inorganic);
  • Working knowledge of current environmental regulations;
  • Strong abilities with software and computer modeling;
  • Strong technical, oral, and written communication skills; 
  • Ability to work independently in various environments when required; and,
  • Team player with good organizational skills.
